City of Arts combined tickets: what to check before buying

20/10/2026

A combined ticket groups venues, but dates and sessions still matter. Check what you are buying and how you will divide the visits before comparing prices.

Start with the venue names

City of Arts and Sciences is the name of the whole complex, not a complete ticket description. Find the buildings included in the option: Oceanogràfic, Hemisfèric, Museu de les Ciències or a particular combination. A photograph showing the entire complex does not establish that a product admits you to every building.

The official shop distinguishes two-venue combinations, used over one or two consecutive days, and the three-venue combination, with one, two or three consecutive day options. Always read the selected product’s terms. Do not turn a general description of validity into an assumption that you may repeat visits.

Plan the least flexible part first

A Hemisfèric admission is for one screening. Before filling the rest of your day, look at the film, language and session you will select. Then place the other visits around that appointment, allowing time to move between entrances and stop for a meal.

With children, agree which venue is the priority. Do not simply select the last session listed because it fills an empty space in a schedule. A day can look possible on paper and feel exhausting once waiting, heat or the group’s pace are considered. Spreading visits out may work better than completing everything in a single day.

Make a useful price comparison

Write down the final individual ticket prices for the visits you actually want, using the same dates and correct visitor categories. Compare that figure with the combined option available. Do not calculate savings using starting prices from different dates or adding a building you never intended to visit.

On the City of Arts ticket page, read the option name, conditions and any requested time selections. If a reduced category requires proof, check that you can provide it. Keep a record of what you selected: it is more useful for organising the day than a screenshot of an isolated price.

Read the final summary again

Before paying, check dates, venues and quantities for every visitor category together. Make sure someone else in your group has not already bought the same visit separately. Save the documents you receive and distinguish the payment receipt from the admission tickets. If anything does not match the plan, sort it out before the booked day.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose visit dates before buying?

Yes. Plan how you will divide the visits and check which dates and sessions the selected product asks you to choose.

How do I decide whether a combined ticket is worthwhile?

Compare the total for visits you genuinely want, on the same dates and with the same visitor categories, against the combined option’s final price.
